Amanda Cassil, PhD
Dr. Amanda Cassil (PSY26549) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Pasadena, California. She founded STEM Psychological Services out of a passion for working with women and underrepresented groups in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math). She works primarily with graduate student and early career professionals around topics such as: navigating conflicting expectations, impostor syndrome, and work-life balance. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, and adult survivors of childhood abuse. Dr. Cassil additionally works with Highly Sensitive People as defined by Dr. Elaine Aron. Dr. Cassil values diversity and the multiple roles that individuals must navigate in their academic, social, and familial settings, and she invites her clients to explore these dimensions within therapy.
Dr. Cassil received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School in Pasadena. Dr. Cassil has worked in college counseling centers (including UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton, Caltech, and Cal Poly Pomona) as a practicum trainee, intern, postdoctoral resident, and staff psychologist.
Grace M. Goodman, PsyD
Dr. Grace Goodman (PSY28905) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Pasadena, California. She enjoys working with undergraduate and graduate women in STEM fields around navigating difficult work situations, having a harsh inner critic, stress management, and self-compassion. Dr. Goodman utilizes Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy to help clients with anxiety disorders, Primarily Obsessional OCD, and social anxiety. Dr. Goodman is committed to empowering clients as they face life’s challenges in ways that foster resilience and enrich their interpersonal relationships.
Dr. Goodman received her Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School of Psychology in Pasadena. She has worked in community mental health centers (Augustus Hawkins Mental Health, San Bernardino County Department of Behavioral Health, Centerstone Kentucky) and medical clinics (Hubert Humphrey Comprehensive Health Center, SAC Health Systems) as a trainee and staff psychologist.
